Vo Trong Nghia Architects won Tostem Asia Design Award 2023

On October 18-21, 2023, Võ Trọng Nghĩa Architects had the honor of receiving the TOSTEM Asia Design Award in Japan.

The TOSTEM Asia Design Award 2023 (TADA 2023) is a prestigious architectural and construction award organized by TOSTEM, a brand under the LIXIL Corporation. With a journey spanning 100 years of experience, the TOSTEM brand has transcended Japan’s borders to conquer global projects with high-quality products and elegant designs in the field of aluminum doors and windows.

This award attracted participation outstanding architects and experts various Asian ries. TADA 2023 celebrates excellence and creativity in architecture and construction. Notably, the TOSTEM Asia Design Award focuses on promoting knowledge and awareness of sustainable architecture, modern technology, and integrating natural elements into projects.

Võ Trọng Nghĩa Architects’ Tân Bình House is the sole winning project Vietnam and one of the 10 outstanding projects in the Asian region that achieved recognition in the TOSTEM Asia Design Award 2023.

Given the context of Saigon’s dense urban environment, characterized by concrete structures, vehicle emissions, and scarce green spaces, Võ Trọng Nghĩa Architects approached the design by incorporating nature into the house. The functional blocks seemingly float amidst a forest of trees, providing additional greenery for the city. Each structure becomes a small park, enhancing urban green spaces and creating a human-friendly environment that fosters a closer connection with nature.

Representing Võ Trọng Nghĩa Architects, architect Võ Trọng Nghĩa participated in a 4-day event during the award ceremony in Japan. The event included exploring the Lixil headquarters, learning about cutting-edge products at the R&D Center, and visiting renowned architectural landmarks in Tokyo.
